Bijenhof is a Belgian producer specialising in the processing and filling of high-quality honey products. With growing demand for their range, it was time for the next step: a fully automated production line controlling the entire process, from setting up empty bottles to packaging the finished product.
Since October 2025, the new line has been running fully automatically. The process starts with the Flexpicker RIO-1T, which automatically sets up and feeds empty bottles. Subsequently, the PS 10-head Premium filling machine for accurate honey filling.
After filling, the bottles are closed by the RS4 rotary closing machine, where an integrated checkpoint verifies that the cap is correctly present and positioned. Bottles that do not comply are automatically ejected. Depending on the type of bottle, the further process follows.
The honey bottles are automatically fitted with a dispensing cap and finished with an overcap. A second closing machine RS4 integrated so that this step too is fully automatic and efficient.
For syrup bottles, cap orientation is essential, as the dispensing valve must always be correctly aligned with the front label. To ensure this, the line uses a orientation unit with integrated camera system, which turns the bottles 180° if necessary.
This allows changes between different bottle and cap sizes to be made easily and quickly, with minimal changeover time.
After sealing, the bottles are labelled on both sides by the labelling machine ET5000. An additional camera check inspects both the presence and exact position of the front and back labels. Finally, the casepacker MP500 the finished bottles fully automatically into boxes, ready for transport and storage.
The production line is designed for a capacity of up to 4,000 bottles per hour and can be operated by up to two operators, from feeding empty bottles to placing finished cartons on pallet.
